TED is an annual event that brings together the world's leading thinkers and doers to share ideas that matter in any discipline — technology, entertainment, design, science, humanities, business, development. In the spirit of "ideas worth spreading," TED has created TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks videos and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connections. Our TEDx event is not organized by TED Conferences, but is operated under a license from TED.

TEDxAvon High School was established to help bring informative, TED-style talks to Avon High School, to give amazing speakers a receptive audience to share their passions with. We aim to provide students with opportunities to improve their public speaking and research skills in an open, constructive environment. Most importantly, TEDxAvon High School is here to let everyone show they are an expert at some area of interest and passion and provide them with the opportunity for others to appreciate their knowledge.
